Here are general questions about BBW Shrine:
Q: Why did you make BBW Shrine?
A: Because women who do not adhere to a size 3 or lower are often ridiculed and discriminated against. Industries, corporations and governments are much to blame for this, using the media as their outlet. Women are treated by how much weight they carry and I think this must stop.
Q: What is the purpose of BBW Shrine?
A: There are many things I (will) talk about in this site, but the main storyline covers four areas:
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
A: From my deep admiration for womanly curves. But also from knowing deep within myself that we as a society need to change how we think about beauty. Then, inspiration flows in abundance. Like a book writing itself, especially when it’s passionate about its subject.
Q: Do you (plan to) profit from BBW Shrine?
A: No. Some people do. Because they have to, like covering costs. For others because it’s their profession. They promote fat acceptance and earn a living that way.
Here are privacy questions about BBW Shrine:
Q: Does BBW Shrine have a Privacy Policy?
A: A Privacy Policy is in the works but not yet available at this time.
Q: What happens to my personal information?
A: Any and all information pertaining to you which is included in your account on BBW Shrine will never be shared without your consent.
Q: What happens to my personal information when my account is deleted?
A: Any and all information pertaining to you which is included in your account on BBW Shrine will be erased from the server irreversibly upon deletion of the account.
Here are questions about the Links pages on BBW Shrine:
Here are questions about the BBW Links pages on BBW Shrine:
Q: What do you consider strong adult content?
A: Showing pink, spread shots, and the like. Generally any site where its focus is on the sex activity, not so much on the beauty form of the woman itself.
Q: Which links will not be included?
A: The following links will not be included:
Note: I do not correspond about inclusion or exclusion of links. If the link does not appear in the BBW Links page within a week, then it is very likely it has been rejected for inclusion because (one or more of) the above criteria for inclusion was/were not met.
Q: Why do you reject links to sites with strong adult content?
A: There are a number of reasons:
Q: Why do you reject links to sites which require registration to see any content?
A: Websites use registration generally for three purposes:
Protecting minors is a noble cause which I commend. However that also means the site may contain strong adult content. Once again, it’s not about blocking this industry, it’s about reaching an as wide as possible audience without sacrificing readership.
Websites without freely available information are generally taken as a nuisance by most visitors, which begs the question if it makes sense linking to it. Nobody wants to register or pay prior to seeing what’s inside.
Here are questions about the BBW Clothing Stores Locator page on BBW Shrine:
Q: How are the keywords/tags extracted from the clothing store sites?
A: Keywords used as tags are taken from the first level of the websites’ navigation menu. Subpage/second page menus are not used. They may added be in the future.
Q: What clothing stores do you accept for inclusion?
A: If you have a link to a store you think should be included, it has to meet these requirements:
Notes: I do not correspond about inclusion or exclusion of links. If the link does not appear in the BBW Clothing Store Locator within a week, then it is very likely it has been rejected for inclusion because (one or more of) the above criteria for inclusion was/were not met.
I randomly check sites to see if the content has changed, and if the above criteria is not met the site will be removed from the list.
Here are technical questions about BBW Shrine:
Q: Does BBW Shrine support older web browsers?
A: Yes. Most common web browsers, listed here, are supported. IE (Internet Explorer ) versions 7 and later versions are also supported, with some minor visual differences. The site is functional and readable in these web browsers, although it is highly recommended to upgrade.
Q: What can I do if the upgrade for my browser is not compatible with my Operating System?
A: Consider upgrading the Operating System.
Q: What can I do if I don’t have the means to upgrade my Operating System?
A: Send me a message with the following details:
If you’re comfortable with installing programs on a computer, consider changing your Operating System to Linux. Many Linux variants are free and support the latest web browsers which are also supported by BBW Shrine. A highly popular and free Linux distribution is Ubuntu.
Q: Which web browsers and versions does BBW Shrine support?
A: BBW Shrine has been tested with the following browsers and versions, with after the colon known issues with the browser:
Note: Visual differences between browsers always exist due to each browser using a different method to display the content. Also support for specific features vary per browser. These visual differences have not been taken into account in the above list.
If your browser and/or version is not listed above, please consider upgrading to another browser and/or version. If you can not upgrade due to your incompatibility with your Operating System, see this question above. If you can not upgrade your Operating System, see this question.
Q: What can I do when I don’t have one of the above listed browsers and can not install one due to insufficient permissions on the system I’m using?
A: Follow these steps: (at present Windows only):
If you can not install the device on the computer you are using, unplug the USB device and plug it into a computer where you can install it. Then unplug the device again, and plug it back into your own computer. Then try to run the application from the stick.
If you can not run the application directly from the stick, try using the application launcher which can be downloaded here. Information about the application launcher can also be found on that page.
If you still can not run the application after trying the above options, I advise that you try to view the website on another computer.
If you don’t have access to another computer then I am afraid I can not offer additional help.
