End of Month Summary June 2010

I thought it would be a cool idea to do a blog posts summary at the end of each month, showing only the added content to BBW Shrine; A quick glance of all the new stuff. Here’s the first one, of June 2010.

June started off great when I introduced the BBW Clothing Stores Locator. A necessary tool I think with some unique features making the search for plus-size and BBW clothing a lot easier.
Close to a week later I finished some necessary updates on the Frequently Asked Questions page and also added a new section with a bunch of Q & A’s (questions and answers).
The following day I added two new pages, the BBW Nightclubs page including an interview with Kathy Hernandez of Club Catalina, and the BBW Meetups and Meetup Groups page.
Just past the middle of the month I added a new links category called BBW Modeling as well as some new BBW Events links to the BBW Links page.
The next day I added the BBW Events page including an interview with Jean of the BBW Cruise.
A few days before the end of the month I added the BBW Parties and Bashes page including an interview with Petra Kruger, organizer of BBW parties in the Netherlands.
All remaining pages of the ‘Communities’ chapter of ‘Volume III – Big Life’ have been added in this month, making way for other chapters in this volume, as well as chapters in other volumes.
On a personal note; I’m happy I decided in May to launch the site in this work-in-progress state. Because even though it’s far and away from where I want it to be, it’s been a necessary motivator in my life.
BBW Parties & Bashes Page Added

The ‘BBW Parties & Bashes’ page has just been added. It is the last missing page of the ‘Offline Communities’ chapter. That in turn belongs to its parent the ‘Communities’ chapter.
As with the BBW Nightclubs and BBW Events pages, this new page also features an interview. This time, I talk to Petra Kruger, Dutch organizer of BBW parties.

Club Catalina Filming

On Saturday June 26th, Club Catalina, which is featured with an interview on the BBW Nightclubs page, has a live filming crew for a new Documentary/TV Show that is being filmed in San Diego.
This is your chance to show everyone that BBW’s are beautiful, sexy, funny, intelligent, confident and know how to have a great time socializing with each other.

BBW Clothing Store Locator Verification
On June 1, I introduced the BBW Clothing Stores Locator, a useful list of only the finest plus-size and BBW clothing stores on- and offline. A list, which includes sizes indications and searchable product categories by using hidden keywords extracted from the different store websites.
Today I introduce a ‘Verification’ column. As I contact the clothing stores one by one, the information in the list is verified and – where necessary – updated to match the correct information pertaining to the respective store. This helps ascertain that you, the Big Beautiful Woman, finds the clothing you want, in the size you need.

BBW Events Page Added

I have published the ‘BBW Events’ page, belonging to the ‘Offline Communities’ section which is a part of ‘Volume III – Big Life’. In a style similar to the ‘BBW Nightclubs’ page, events organized by the plus-size community are shown.
This new page also contains an interview, just as with the BBW nightclubs page. The interview is with Jean of the ‘BBW Cruise’, an annual event from Chicago which departs from various cities in America.
