Welcome to reality, or so they want us to believe. Seemingly endless, repeated messages are conveyed to the masses daily, by radio, television, newspapers, magazines, flyers, billboards… We are fed with one view of beauty. In our world, an unhappy person is a profitable person. And the more unhappy a person feels, the more money can be made off of them.
In this first volume, I will talk about a shadowy cult which wants to bring about the perfect human being; How commerce and the health, diet and weight loss industry make huge profits on their products so people can fit in with a supposed perfected look; How government campaigns, the fashion industry and cosmetic surgery clinics distort our view of beauty; And how the media plays a role in this all; And at last, how you and me and the society we belong to are actively sabotaging our own lives.
