For people new to the world of online communities, this chapter may be especially useful. In the ‘Communities’ chapter I cover chat rooms, forums and social networks and what sets them apart from one another.
And for people already used to the idea of – or have experience with – online communities, I cover offline communities as well. Parties/bashes, nightclubs, meet-ups and meet-up groups, events like fashion shows and a host of other venues where people come together.
If you’ve never seen or have experienced one or perhaps both of these things, I hope that the Communities chapter gives you a virtual peek into this world, and which helps you make the decision if this is something you would like to be a part of.
