Online Communication

For most people, online communication is as common as dialing a number and making a call. But did you know that there are hidden dangers in communicating this way? What can you do about pushy people and stalkers, and how do you recognize (romance) scams, advance fee frauds and the like?

To deal with these issues, you can protect yourself, as well as take action. Simple things you can do to make sure that what you say to one person, doesn’t end up with another as well. Unfortunately this is all too common on the Internet.

This chapter is about safely communicating with people on the Internet. It uses simple, non-technical language with easy to follow examples which can be understood by even those not computer savvy.
